The Duqm Economic Forum 2025, held in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) under the theme “Duqm Leads Change”, successfully concluded with the participation of over 400 delegates and 54 expert speakers from more than 50 countries. The forum reinforced Duqm’s position as a strategic destination for global investment, innovation, and sustainable economic growth.
During the two-day event, discussions focused on key sectors including integrated tourism, renewable energy, logistics, smart city development, and digital innovation. Organizers highlighted investment commitments exceeding OMR 6.3 billion, reflecting strong confidence from both local and international investors.
Several strategic agreements and partnerships were signed at the forum, including collaborations in energy storage, maritime logistics, and industrial infrastructure, aimed at strengthening SEZAD’s economic ecosystem and enhancing the region’s competitiveness.
Officials and experts emphasized Duqm’s strategic geographic location, integrated infrastructure, and commitment to sustainability as key factors positioning the zone as a regional hub for investment and development. The forum also showcased the role of innovative projects in shaping future-ready industries and supporting Oman Vision 2040.
